International Center for Faculty & Leadership Development

Date of establishment

On 14/12/2002 and 8/2/2003, the Supreme Council of Universities, at its session No. 405, No. 406, issued decisions approving the organizational structure and general framework for the management of the implementation of higher education development projects. Article 4 of the resolution stipulates the establishment of units for the management of development projects at the level of Egyptian universities and technical institutes.

On 21/7/2003, the President of Tanta University approved the formation of the University's Development Projects Management Unit. One of the first projects implemented by the University Development Unit was the faculty and leadership development project.

The first project course was held on 21/9/2004. On 2/9/2008, the President of the University of Tanta adopted Resolution No. 1274 establishing a training center at the University of Tanta under the name of the faculty and leadership development center as a continuation of the faculty and leadership development project.

On 2/9/2008, the President of the University of Tanta adopted resolution No. 1275 establishing the organizational structure of the Centre for the Development of the Capacity of Faculty and Leadership. The Faculty and Leadership Development Centre of the University of Tanta has obtained an International Accreditation Certificate from the International Board of International Trainers Accreditation.
